Pictured here is a carpet bonding and edge wrapping fixture for an automotive door panel component. The features of this machine include:
- Hot Melt is dispensed via a rodless cylinder on a single cam path.
- A shuttle transfers the part into the folding station.
- A press cylinder lowers to press the part into a CNC aluminum receiving nest.
- Folding cylinders extend to wrap the carpet over the lower edge of the part.
- Wrap tooling extends to wrap the carpet around the lower edge and onto the "B" surface of the part.
